Why we don't quote driveways from a chart
Two driveways on the same street can price out very differently: one replaces a cracked slab, the other is bare dirt. One is straight, the other curves. That's why we measure in person and put the number in writing instead of guessing from photos. The visit is free.
The five things that set your price
- 1 The size of the driveway
- Driveways are measured and priced by the square foot. Setup and delivery are similar for big and small jobs, so larger driveways usually work out better per foot.
- 2 What is there now
- Many Phoenix driveways we build replace an old concrete one. Tear-out and haul-away is its own line on the quote, and we do it ourselves rather than bringing in another company.
- 3 The base a vehicle needs
- A driveway carries cars and trucks, so it gets a deeper compacted base than a patio, with geotextile fabric under it. More depth means more excavation and material. It is also the reason the driveway lasts.
- 4 The pavers you pick
- Standard concrete pavers are the budget-friendly choice for driveways. Upgraded shapes, colors, and decorative borders raise the material cost.
- 5 Access and slope
- A straight, open driveway is simple. Tight access, curves, or a slope that needs grading adds labor.
Where a driveway budget actually goes
A big share of a driveway job happens before a single paver goes down: tear-out, excavation, geotextile fabric, and base rock compacted deep enough to carry vehicles. That underground work is what keeps a driveway flat under daily traffic, and it's included in every quote our driveway paver installers write.
Common questions
- How long does a paver driveway take to install?
- Five to nine days for most driveways, depending on size. That covers excavation, base compaction, and laying the pavers.
- Do you remove my old concrete driveway?
- Yes. Demolition and haul-away is one of our services, so one crew takes the project from old slab to finished driveway.
- How do I get the actual price for my driveway?
- We come out, measure it, and put your quote in writing, free, usually within one business day. Call (602) 872-8352 or request a free quote right here on the site. If we don’t answer, we’re out on a job, so leave a voice message or email us at 3brotherspavers@gmail.com, and we’ll get back to you, usually the same day.
